Conference

Hey fam, whats up.

so...lets see. Conference was very good. 10 hours just fly by. i payed
real good attention and had tons of notes. than this morning, i made
up a sick conference game for the district meeting tomorrow. it ll be
fun. Last district meeting we played some baseball. one person read a
chapter heading to the book of mormon and another person has to say
which chapter it is. if you get it exactly, homerun. one off, triple.
and so on. so we played a nice heated 20 slugfest. we got to the last
inning (i think it was only the third) and we were pitching. the score
was 3 to 4, we were winning and they were batting. two outs, runners
on 3rd and 2nd and i was pitching. So i read a good one, one that
pretty much anyone would miss. it says something like, Jesus ordains
the nephite apostles and (i think it says) and gives them power to
baptize. something like that. any person with the smallest knowledge
of the book of mormon will know that is in 3 nephi, towards the end.
well, any person who says that will be wrong, cuz that one is Moroni
2. haha its a tricky one and we won. hehehehe

We had the baptism on saturday. it went totally awesome. lots and lots
of members stayed afterwards and we had a very good baptismal service.
Andres Andrada is a super cool guy. he is very very inteligent. he is
going thru a lot of hard times and learning all this stuff has helped
him a lot. its cool to see the church helping in just such a good
emotional way. he is a very funny guy and likes to joke. he is usually
watching the byu channel and loves the sports.

Conference was just sweet. Elder Holland did well and dropped cane on
the world in priesthood session. my favorite is ¨voy a hablar con un
poco fuego en mi boca¨ (i m gonna talk with a bit of fire in my mouth)
haha. there was actually a lot of talks about missionaries, which was
good. also, we all loved the talk from sister dalton. we learned two
good points from her

             If your daughter doesnt come home on time from a date,
GO AND GET HER.

             To teach your daughters, treat your wife well so she has
something to expect.....and what if you have sons? we are unsure

We are now an hour ahead of normal, i dont know when you guys jump
backwards (luckies) but for christmas it will be a 5 hour difference.

Me and elder betancourt have been running lots lately. ok, not lots.
last week, we ran everyother day. it was not planned that way, just
every other day we were lazy. but we still tell people we meant too.
We played soccer for 2 hours this morning, it was super fun cuz we
convinced some other missionaries to stay in 33 before going home
after the conference. so that was fun.

Me and elder castañeda has a very good week. we worked really hard. we
had a great comp invintory. those really suck, but they are the best
for the companionship. we had gotten along great since and had some
good success this last week.
