Hey family.

So lets see. This week really flew by again. I cant believe conference
is coming up this next week. Oh, which reminds me. we are having a
baptism in between conference. it ll be really cool cuz we think we ll
be able to get a bunch of people to stay and watch if it is right
after. Also, all the missionaries from trienta y tres will be
there...which is like 18....and so i am hoping to get a sweet awesome
picture that we can send into the ensign and get ourselves in the
general conference version of the liahona. so somebody can check up on
that at home? thanks.

The guys name is Andres Andrada. he is really cool and very
intelligent. he came to church yesterday and participated in all the
classes. that very seldomly happens with an investigator. i also
taught the principles of the gospel class. it is the first time in my
mission that there has not been a teacher (well except last week, but
there were no students either and we just went into the primary...i
dont remember if i wrote about that...fun experience) but it was on
the creacion and all i had was three little pages out of the old book
to teach from. it was all just like read the first paragraph and see
what they think, than read the second. i thought that was boring, so i
tuaght it better. we got to talking about enjoying the little things
and how even little insects are good. i told them about the mosquito
and if it werent here that there would be no chocolate. i think i
heard that form star once, but i could be totally wrong and lied to
all those pepole, but they wont know anyway.

We have a really nice member lady that makes us empanadas and her son
delivers them to our apartment. they are super good and she usually
just gives them to us free. i felt bad so wednesday, against their
will, i gave them 100 pesos (like 5 bucks). they delivered a HUGE sack
of them and we enjoyed them that night. WORST 100 STINKIN PESOS EVER
SPENT. me and bentancourt went running the next morning and he almost
became a real missionary on the way home (real missionary means you
make a mess in your pants...number 2). than at about 11, during our
weekly planning sessions, elder pike destroys the bathroom. and
finally, after lunch and during language story, i get hit with it too.
it was a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, day. i dont want to eat another empanada
here.......but she ll probably bring some tonight and i ll eat it
anyway.

um what else, the work is going alright. 33 has a record of being a
harder area with the lowest baptisms. but we have some people and are
working hard. being DL is weird. i dont like dropping cane, i think
the whole love thing is better. i love living with four elders. we
laugh quite a bit. the pictures are from us playing strip poker. we
didnt want to do anything too crazy, so we bundled up a bit.

ok, that is all for the week. thank you all for writing and such. love you .

chaucitos

Alright, the pictures. so we found a zoo in our area. it only costs 10
pesos and we would have liked to go on p day.....but they are closed
monday....lunes cerrado....means closed. lame
