its weird to write in the afternoon, but soccer is pretty fun. i get
pretty stinkin sore tho. this week went by flying. First off, i was
reading elder reynolds e mail and he said it was a sad time for us two
to seperate. It was. But it was kinda weird cuz even tho there were
like 50 elders we wanted to talk with there, we just finding ourselves
talking to each other. ridiculous. He even asked me if i would be the
one to accompany him to the bathroom one last time...so i went.
I was reading blake bakers e mail too and was complaining on how fast
the argentina elders speak.hahahaha i wish the guayans spoke that slow
and clear. they take spanish and just slaughter it.
But anyways. It rained yesterday and that kinda killed the attendence
in church. We have a really cool guy named Andres who should be
getting baptized this saturday, but he didnt come to church yesterday
so were gonna talk to him to see how he feels and if he is ready.
I almost got 11 months in the mission field and this last week was the
FIRST time since the day i get here that i went to the mission home.
we had a meeting in Carasco. But more importantly is the distribution
center next to the temple, i have always wanted to go there. Get
another little hymn book, some pictures to show investigators, movies,
and some triple book of mormons for converts. So i got to go!! and
they had almost nothing!!!!!!! totally out. no movies, no bibles, not
even book of mormons. Than i found out that there is a free number you
can call to order them from salt lake free and can get anything you
want. geez.
i have been pretty good with my money on the mission. i have never
really needed my debit card. i have taken money out to buy bigger
stuff a few times, but never actually NEEDED it. this month i did. i
had to pay some bills, and than i lot of money for tickets to
Montevideo. and also, my reembolsos got rejected cuz they changed the
way we had to do them and i didnt know. But i was like, oh no worries,
i have money on my debit card. show up and the card is expired. yup,
expired in AUGUST. nice! so i was in trouble. i was on an intercambio
in Varela (a little town in my district) and was just sitting there
thinking what i was gonna do cuz i hadnt received my debit card yet.
Than, i saw a kinda strange thing the normal world. My belt that i
bought at missionary mall had a zipper on the back. I opened it up and
BOOM 500 SWEET GLORIAS PESOS. i remember storing it there when me and
Reynolds were on our scared-of-being-robbed-from-
pretty good planning, no??
alright, so i think that is all. i love you guys and thanks for
everything. keep praying for me and i ll pray for you. deal?? ok chau
chau
love elder christensen
