So this is by far one of the more boring weeks. Nothing has really happened. The weather here is quite bipolar. Tuesday it down poured on us. Yesterday was ridiculously hot and sunny all day. And than again today, it downpoured! It makes soccer and football interesting on the cement. Sports are kinda loosing there fun for some reason. The norteamericanos above us said the same thing. The first three weeks they would also count down the seconds til sports, but than after it is hardly a big deal. What i love the most is personal study! It is an hour just to yourself. Totally silent. I usually just get lost in the scriptures or Predicad Mi Evangelio and before i know it the hour is up.
Proseletismo was just normal this week as well. We were in a new area but in the same neighborhood. So it wasnt a change of scenery really. In the morning it was super cloudy and stormy looking, so we were kinda dreading a rainy day...but than it just stayed over cast all day long. Quite the blessing (smiley face). We got investigators and stuff and hopefully i will get to teach a full lesson or something. We were talking to this one lady, Teresa, outside her house teaching about families. She seemed interested and told us we could come back. So i stick out my hand for the usual hand shake, but oh no, she decides to go with a different way. SHE STICKS OUT HER CHEEK!!!!!! yes indeed, i have now gotten my first kiss from a latino girl...not something i like to brag about. Down here it is totally normal for them tho. We see two hermano teachers just walk up to each other and go right ahead. All the white kids just stare at them and wonder why.
My New Years Resolutions:
1. be more patient
2. stay more focused in class
3. maybe eat a bit more healthy
4. baptize 1,003 people
5. get married
6. get divorced
7. become president of uruguay
8. eat some peanut butter
9. sleep in til 6 45-----yes i am daring
10. ya well i cant think of a tenth one.
heh heh you guys thought i was gonna go all serious on you. I hear BYU almost won, presidente wouldnt give us too many details but he told us about the blocked kick. I am glad i am here cuz now utah fans will brag about this one for the next 4 to 5 years...Greg. I hear the jazz are doing way good. they will probably win the championship this year and next and than go back to their normal flakiness....just my luck.
But i love it down here. We have a ton of fun. the 11 hours of straight gospel flies by. Before i know it, i am writing an e mail again. And than before i can blink again, i am trying to make a gospel conversation with people out in the streets of Buenos Aires (which means good air or whatever....but i must disagree. We should re name it Buenos Alfohores! We should market those in america..we would make bank.) k gotta go. Love you all
Love Elder Christensen
