Serious Pain in the Neck

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I keep forgetting to write this but on the way to our area for proseletismo, we drive on a 22 lane highway! yes 22 lanes!! It is right before the toll booth things and than it goes off into like 8 different free ways. But anyways, lets just say nothing happened in proseletismo. It was crazy hot, slow, some lessons, but nothing too cool. This week, we go to a new area in Buenos Aires. The area we just had was pretty rich. So, we are hoping for a kinda poorer area to get more lessons and stuff. My spanish is pretty stinkin good (compared to other elders in my district). I understand them like seriously half the time! Doesnt sound too impressive but it is.
Today was a good thanksgiving. We got the oppurtunity to get up at 6: 30, than we rushed down and had some great cold cereal! its the usual. We joke about it a lot. But for lunch, we ate TURKEY! It was awesome. Than we went around the table and said what we were thankful for. The rule was no saying you were thankful for family or comps cuz than everyone would have to say it. So i said i was thankful for the latinoes we got to joke around with, and for salt. Cuz salt makes all the food better here (smiley face). After e mail, we are going to go do a turkey bowl.
I got the picture of King Rooney. I dont think i look like him, but some elders from my district say i do. So i talked with one of the latinoes and asked if he liked soccer (of course he does, everyone here does) and i asked him if he knew Rooney. He took a half second glance at the picture before he snatched it outta my hand. He than gathered all the latinoes in sight and put the picture up against my face. I am still called Elder Baby Rooney.
Hmmm, lets see. Nothing else has really happened. Sports are fun, spanish is good, food gets worse. Oh ya, every three weeks, most of the elders here leave and than 2 days later everyone shows up. But the older elders said that for those 2 days, they serve us great food (cuz there was only like 14 of us here). We were looking forward to those 2 glorious days for forever! ....but it didnt happen! how sad, it was just normal food. How sad.
And now for the story of the week, what a serious pain in the neck! Playing football on friday and i had a sick swat that saved a touchdown. But as i did it, i pulled something in my shoulder. So for the whole day, it hurt to turn my head to the right...so obviously i just didnt turn my head to the right. But than at around 8 in our final distrito, it started to hurt worse. If i moved my neck up or down it would shoot pain from under my right ear down to my shoulder. Than, it started to just randomly shoot pain every couple minutes. I left class to get some IBprofen. When i got to the room, i opened the closet door and my whole right side just like caught on fire! i doubled over and leaned against the bed. Pretty much the next thing i remember was laying on the bed staring up at a teacher and el presidente. I didnt like black out to say...but something like it. Once i was laying down and not moving tho, the pain subsided. I easily downed 4 IBprofen and than some bigger muscle relaxers the next morning from the president. But man, it was horrible. By far the worst pain of my life. It is fine now, and dont worry, i am being very obedient (smiley face). I may be the next district leader (smiley face) so pray for me. And no thats not a joke. lol. I love you all lots. Have a good weekend and a good thanksgiving.
Love always,
Elder Cody Christensen
