| Me and Elder Camey fighting. We found out my camera can take quick pictures and we made a pretty tight movie, if I say so myself. |
This week has been pretty good. Proseletismo was way way good. So last week, we didnt do all that good. We, as a district, had somewhere around 50 contacts, Not bad, but nothing spectacular. So this week, we set the goal of 100 contacts. I kinda thought it was outta range but whatever, we set our comp goal for 20 contacts. Who wants to guess what our district got? ya, we got 146 freakin contacts!!! quite incredible!! so this week has been very inspirational. but thats not all....
It was about 3 30 in the afternoon on proseletismo. Me and my companion had 14 contacts for the day (which was better than any other week, but not too our goal yet). My mindset was kinda that we were done for the day. It was during siesta (which means EVERYONE IN FREAKIN ARGENTINA is asleep), and we usually get maybe a couple. But than we ran into another group of missionaries from our district. They were having a terrific day and had surpassed there goal. They weren't bragging or anything, but they were super happy and still going strong. Something from meeting them just sparked a little fire in me. We walked away and started talking about our goals. My companion was just about out of water, so i came up with the brilliant idea to not get more til we hit our goal of 20 (smiley face) hehe. The next 45 minutes we got 10 MORE CONTACTS! it is like totally incredible! So now i am super excited for next this saturday. Our new goal is 161 contacts...the hymn number of Llamados a Servicio (smiley face)
Entonces....
Another cool thing from proseletismo was when we went into the Hipermercado. Imagine, if you will, 3 costcos lined up in one store. Well, that is the hipermercado. No joke. over 80 lanes for checking out, a movie theater, all kind of restaurants, electronics, food, the biggest wine sections you have ever seen, and the best is a car lot. They sale cars inside this store!!!! its ridiculous.
The latinos left this week, which kinda sucked. Elder Camey is by far my favorite. He is super nice, super friends, always willing to help in spanish, way good at soccer, and just a tight kid. He promised me he was going to go to utah for college and he ll come spend a night. So if a dark guy who speaks a bit of english shows up to the house in 2 years, let him in (smiley face). Not much else is happening around here. I am sending pictures today so my e mail isnt as long. Hope you like them.
Love you all
Elder Cody Christensen
