First Week in Minas

ok family, so usually my e mails say not much has happened...BUT TONS
HAS HAPPENED!!!

haha ok not too much, but now i live in Minas. it is pronouned mean
isss. its a cool place. the members are really cool and there is more
than there were in rocha. They are also a lot younger lol. my
companion is elder morrison from centonton (i think) arkansas. he has
6 brothers, he is a twin, and his mom boards and trains horses. now
isnt that like every kids freakin fantasy. gosh. but dont worry, i do
brag about being the only boy and 5 beatiful sisters. i told elder
morrison about my family and he asked if i knew how to paint
nails.....THAT ONLY HAPPENED A COUPLE TIMES! hehehe i live in a very
small apartment but its fine with two elders. there is one big room
with all our cloths, desks, and beds. than we have this sweet little
wooden table and these funky chairs where we plan and play chess. its
fun. ok....actually that is all that has happened.

i heard byu lost, that sucks. being a missionary you get very
unreliable and brief stories about sports. many rumors fly around that
were received from grandmas or aunts that dont know much. it ll be
like BYU won the other day, or at least my grandma thinks they did.
she is not sure if she was just watching a re run. WHAT. how does that
help. but also, the information is very spread out so itll be like,
the jazz are 2nd place in the league! and the next news you hear is
the jazz arent even in the play offs! oh ya also they lost their coach
and star player. the life of a missionary is hard...such unreliable
info.

conference is coming up, should be fun. my comp is a very very good
cook and he likes to share lol. he s gonna make me fat dang it. we
made browning and breadsticks 3 out of the last 5 nights. for
conference, we have a ton planned. brownies with frosting, cookies,
the other missionaries might bring pizza, and root beer. (haha i just
asked my comp how to spell beer cuz it looked wrong as bere, but i
asked it and all the missionaries, their are 6, looked over, lol) it
is going to be very good tho. were thinking of making brownies as buns
and filling it with dulce de leche. hmmmmm. its a brownie alfahor.
should be fatning and delicious.

well ya, i like this area, my comp, my apartment, its all pretty good.
but thats really all. love you guys.

more stuff....i did buy some cheap shoes that work.

for the spanish speakers, i hate voz. it sucks. it sounds like
everyone is just speaking in infinitive. they say preguntà alla or
something but i hear preguntar alla. its lame. also, here they drop
their s even more. so it will be like    no refiremo como dicipulos de
dios. wait....we dont call ourself disciples no more...interesting
doctorine. its crazy here. lol but thats all.
