Hey fam, whats up.
I had a very good, very fast week. I cant believe this is my last p
day til christmas. that flew by!! we are doing very good here in
Yerbal. Next week we should have a baptism of a lady named alicia. its
whenever her nephew comes from montevideo so he can baptize her. She
is the sister of a really cool member and she has helped us a lot.
Alicia is super cool and doesnt doubt anything. she loves church and
participates a ton. I loved my gospel principals class (me and my comp
take turns teaching it). When i came, there was one couple there and
no one else. Now, that couple has graduated the year mark but our
class is full. Andres still has never missed a sunday and yesterday
was called as secretary of the elders quorum. nice! gonzalo and nelly
also come every week and now with alicia it is just a fun class.
Wednesday, the whole mission went to montevideo for the christmas
conference. Elder Reynolds showed up the night before to sleep over.
we didnt sleep. Got on the bus at three and than went in a very full
bus of missionaries. The conference was alright. We recieved letters
written by our parents and had a testimony thingy about it...thank you
mom and dad for writing. Lunch was fun cuz we all just got to visit
with bunches of people. We took a photo of the our MTC group all
together. I received the package, thank you mom, and the gifts from
the sisters, thank you too. i got two door mats and thought, what am i
gonna do with two? Elder Reynolds comes over and i show him the one i
had opened that had my family on it. he was pretty jealous. All we
could see on the other one was the words merry christmas and feliz
navidad. I was about to give the ones that we had opened to reynolds
so he could always remember my family but than we saw the other one
actually had reynolds name on that one. we opened it up and had
pictures of his family. IMPORTANT. HE IS GOING TO TELL THE STORY IN A
DIFFERENT WAY LIKE MAYBE THAT I WAS NOT GONNA SHARE BUT HE IS WRONG
AND THIS STORY IS RIGHT....just be aware.
The next day, i started opening the presents mom had sent me all
wrapped up. i had decided on about two a day til christmas. we did the
whole clue things and opened two. Later (about 30 seconds) i asked who
wanted to open another. My comps hand shot up. So we opened one
more...than another...and another. before we knew what happened, half
were opened. I was like, that is ok we are only going to open one a
day til christmas now. Nope. the next day we opened the last half.....
This weeks weather has been more bipolar than the utah jazz career. It
will rain HARD for about 5 minutes, stop, and than the sun comes out
and everything dries. Thats when you think, huh today would be a good
day at the beach. Than 20 minutes later it destroys us with rain. it
did this about 20 times over 3 days.
Well, i think that is all that happened. it was a good week and went
by super fast. i loved it tho. Thank you all for writing.
