Dear Family,
whats up at home. is it raining?? it is here. a ton!! remember that
whole santa rosa bit that comes every year...its supposed to come
soon...which means even more rain. it is kinda hot here still tho. i
am trying to work on my tan and get out in short sleeve shirts.
what a week. it was crazy. lots happened.ok not really, but more than
usual. We had two investigators in church. that is a record for this
area i think. and with lots of luck and blessings, we ll have two
baptisms this week.
Elaine is progressing and is all excited to get baptized, but might
need some more time. And than the other is juancito. he is a stubborn
little kid who s mom is a member and he just never has gotten
baptized. We got him to go to church and he said he just felt really
good there and felt like it was time. so the news flew thru the church
and everyone was very excited for him. i love having a small ward,
everyone is so close.
Thursday was my surprise party. i wasnt supposed to know but its hard
to plan something with your comp there all day. My comp did a great
job. But...we showed up thursday and no one else did. so i really
thought it was a great surprise. i was waiting for them to jump out or
something. turns out, the president and his family got stranded in
another city with their car and tried to call us to cancel, but we d
already left. So they re did it on saturday. it was a ton of fun. We
played soccer in a muddy park and got dirty. i didnt too much...just a
few drops from a flying ball. My comp tho....he fell at least three
times and got was totally dirty. Everything down to his tie. it was
funny. Than we ate some good cake that an hermana made me and than we
played hide and seek with the kids.
Than ward is all good. we finally got the president to give a talk in
sacrament, he s a stud. Me and my comp were talking about it, that we
like this ward a lot. he is gonna be here 6 months, which is a lot.
but we just love the ward. they are so close and fun and love us. Its
fun to see them so often too, cuz there is so few. so i like it a lot.
