Washing Machine

Hello Fam,

How is everyone doing. I m doing great. this week just flew by.
Wednesday, we woke up at 12 (not really like we slept) so we could be
at the church at 1 to go to the temple. i fully expected getting on
that bus and sleeping til we got there. did not happen. that is what
happens when you fill a bus of missionaries who have not seen each
other in a long time...even at 1 in the morning. we talked the WHOLE
way there. Reynolds was there and we caught up most of the time, but i
also saw some other people i hadnt in a while. Needless to say, we all
showed up for our temple session quite tired. Surprisingly, no one
slept and we all enjoyed the temple session. but afterwards was
BRU-TAL! We had to sit through a 3 our zone meeting witht the
President. it was IMPOSSIBLE to stay awake. everyone was dead and no
one really participating and we were somewhere in Moses and....yo que
se...it was a crazy experience. Than the trek home. i wanted to stay
awake the whole time just to say i had hardly slept in two days. it
would be easy to do it too cuz there was still tons of people to talk
to. i made it five minutes into the bus ride and fell asleep.

Than thursday, friday, and saturday i was doing intercambios. we had a
baptism and others in my district did too so there was lots of running
around for that. i went to Varela (a small farm town outside 33) and
had an interesting day there. it had nice views at least, and i can
say that i slept under a ridiculous mosquito net that attacked me ALL
NIGHT LONG. i kept doing those slowly-come-out-of-your-dream state and
would swipe at it a lot...it kept touching me and grabbing my head. it
was weird.

We had a long, long week of contacting. it is a lot different out here
than it in in Montevideo. Cuz here, they want to talk to you, just not
about the gospel. So contacts are longer. we also ran into lots of J
dubs this week and even a grouchy pastor. did you know we do not
believe in the bible? i didnt either, but lots of j dubs know better
of what we believe...so trust them!

But we had a good baptism Saturday. there was pretty good support from
the ward. Natalia Terra was baptized by her step dad (she is the
youngest girl in the picture). the whole family are members and are
way fun. they love making us chocolate cakes every time we come over.

Guess what? we are receiving WASHING MACHINES! ya, i never thought it
would happen in my entire mission, but supposedly they are coming
tomorrow!!! its quite exciting.

So, that is all this is really happening. The work is going good, its
getting super hot, soccer is fun, life is good. dont know what else
there is. Love you guys.

Con Amor, Elder Christensen
